For Immediate Release Oct 9 2014 (Saskatoon, SK): Locally produced preschool yoga series Space Stretch is proud to announce the release of its second season with a marathon of all ten new episodes on October 25 2014 on City Saskatchewan. Space Stretch is a live action and animation children’s television series where pre-school children become astronauts in intergalactic yoga adventures. Cheshire Smile Animation, lead by producer/director/writer Tim Tyler, produced and created the series with a 100% Saskatchewan based cast and crew.  The first season was released in October 2013.

Earlier in 2014 Tim Tyler completed the 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher training with Yoga Alliance and became a certified yoga teacher offering weekly adult classes at Ground Yoga. He believes that yoga is a powerful tool for everyone, most especially for children.  He says, “Space Stretch has evolved in Season Two to dig more deeply into curriculum: the education for each pose is more focused and there are fewer poses. It’s easier for kids to follow and practice along with the characters on the show.”

In each episode everyday pre-school children become astronauts in a green screen adventure aboard The Century Condor, a space ship piloted by likeable space yogi Captain Crash Tanga, his best friend Upside Downward Dog and the all-knowing Lulu the Space Computer. Crash and his crew do yoga stretches and balances on-board the Condor as they travel to, explore, and solve unusual disturbances taking place in the solar system. For example: in the “Uranus is Stinking” episode Uranus is feeling blue because nobody visits him. The pre-school children and space characters all rally together and channel their space energy through practicing yoga to help solve Uranus’ problem (he’s full of stinky methane gas) to help him to make friends again. Space Stretch has a curriculum based upon physical activity and discovery of place in the universe.
